Information for Students Enrolled in Global Gateway Seminar
Welcome to the University of Notre Dame, and congratulations on your enrollment in a Global Gateway Seminar.
The Office of Community Standards educates the campus community on expectations for student conduct and administers formative and developmentally-based opportunities rooted in the Holy Cross tradition to challenge students to reflect on their choices, take responsibility for their actions, and understand the balance between the needs of the individual as well as the University community.
Upon your arrival in Notre Dame, Indiana, you will participate in an orientation program. As you begin your Notre Dame journey in an international location, there are a few things you should know about being a Notre Dame student:
- Our expectations for behavior are known as Standards of Conduct.
- These standards, sometimes referred to on other campuses as a "code of conduct" are found in our student handbook: du Lac: A Guide to Student Life.
- du Lac offers more than just information about student conduct, the web-based handbook also offers insight about:
- Insight about Notre Dame's mission and vision
- Academic resources
-
Campus life resources
- du Lac also offers a special "ND A to Z" section which provides you with helpful information such as:
- Common acronyms you will hear
- Campus building directory
- Resource guide with contacts for common questions
Our staff welcomes your questions as you learn more about your university. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail us at ocs@nd.edu or call us at 574-631-5551.
