Preponderance of the Evidence
To determine if a student is responsible for a violation of the University Standards of Conduct, the University Conduct Process will be followed.
Decisions regarding a student’s responsibility – or lack thereof – for a violation will be based upon careful consideration of all available information and evaluated using a preponderance of the evidence standard (i.e. if it is "more likely than not" that the policy was violated).
Questions about the University Conduct Process can be directed to the Office of Community Standards by calling 574-631-5551 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
